Today, it is the start of the Chinese new year or the Luna new year, the year of the dog. Every year I would create a new painting for this special occasion.
This time I decided to paint a bouquet of pink lilies. in this painting the main focus are the two sunlit lilies and the rest of the lilies are in the shadow. I love the dark and light contract which symbolizes within the year we will experience both sunny, joyous and dark and gloomy days. However either dark or bright days we need to make the most of it.
