When I was in art school I used to work part time in a flower shop. The tiny shop was in a big hotel owned by a friend, I used to work on Fridays. Most of the customers were guests from the hotel and people work nearby. During the year we were not super busy but Valentine was anther story.
We had so much orders for Valentine my friend would got her family and friends to help out. We had so much flowers with no room to keep them, she had to book a hotel room to keep some of the arrangements and also for us to rest during our long working hours.
it was working at that little flower shop how my interest of plants and flowers started. During the slow time of the day I would read books on plants care and adding more more and indoor plants for my apartment
Every February I would think of the time I worked at that flower shop how we prepare for the Valentine week and all those beautiful bouquets we carefully packed for the cold winter.
