I have a New year tradition : every year I would create a painting to welcome the new year and this year is no exception. Unlike some to celebrate the New Year by dipping into the icy water for a Polar bear swim, I rather stay home in the warm and comfort to do what I love, dipping my paint brushes into lukewarm water to create a painting. I been working on this painting during the holiday and finally finished it on the first day of the year.
I had choose he cymbiduim orchid as my subject because it usually blooms for me during this time of the year.
watercolor on 140lb cold press Fabriano paper, 29″x21″
Beautiful painting and nice tradition
Thank you and Happy New Year!
