One of the art supply stores was having a 30% sale a couple of weeks before Christmas. I decided to take advantage the sale and ordered some Daniel Smith watercolors online. Although it took days to arrive but I was happy not to had to deal with the Christmas shoppers. Right away, I used the paints for my next painting.
I finished the painting of a white tulip on Christmas eve but left the background unpainted as I need to think of what color to use. The next day, on Christmas day, I decided green would be a nice background for it and since Pantone has declared” greenery” is the color for 2017′.
“Greenery” is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew., the green was mixed with Daniel Smith’s, hooker’s green and hansa yellow with a touch of cadmium yellow. the painting is 16″x12.5″
great colour
Thank you, Merry Christmas!
