I painted this for the Liquitex “Muted collection” contest; for me the muted palette are gently color which are not bright either mixed with grey or white. I chose to use watercolor for this painting of the moving water over the rocks and because with watercolors white paint is not used and my palette are mainly browns and blues the whites are from the paper itself. I hope the finished painting can demonstrate the power and gentleness with using only muted colours.
