When I was in Art College, I study painting and printmaking. at that time, I was very interested in “Pop art”. One year, during the school trip to New York to visit art museums and galleries, I saw an exhibition by American painter Alex Katz. At his exhibit all his paintings were life-size and over-size cut out figures and portraits. I thought it was such a cool idea.

Soon after, I started to play with the same idea but with watercolor. I did a series of cut out watercolors in photo realist style. This one is a single feather about 8”x2” it was done 30 years ago!
